About This Spot

Stepping into Squeaky Rail Diner is like pulling up to a friendly stop along a nostalgic, sunlit rail line. The moment you enter, a warm, welcoming hum settles around you, where familiar faces behind the counter and a subtly themed railroad decor invite a pause from the day’s rush. The pace here is unhurried and easy—perfect for anyone craving a genuine, comfortable spot to gather over a hearty meal.

At this cozy diner in Enola, mornings stretch leisurely with the scent of fresh coffee mingling with the sizzle from the kitchen. Whether you’re slipping in for breakfast or lingering into the afternoon, there’s a timeless rhythm to the service and conversations that makes it feel like a neighborhood staple rather than a fleeting stop. The atmosphere celebrates simple joys: generously sized plates, earnest smiles, and the quiet pleasure of a place that knows its regulars by name and new visitors by story.

Food here doesn’t just fill your plate, it tells a story of classic comfort with little twists—a bit of the unexpected alongside well-loved staples. You might find a savory twist on traditional eggs, or indulge in a plate that nods gently to local favorites, like scrapple and eggs or a towering chicken and waffles combo. Squeaky Rail’s menu feels like a thoughtfully curated map of homestyle dishes that invite sharing, savoring, and maybe even a bit of playful indulgence in those famously “dangerous” desserts.

What truly sets Squeaky Rail apart is the human moments: servers who listen carefully, kitchens that show their care in every bite, and guests who return not just for the food but for the feeling of being part of something warm and familiar, even if just for a meal. It’s a place where plates come generously filled, conversations unfold naturally, and the day’s troubles seem just a little lighter once you’ve taken a seat.

This place is wonderful. So good. Very generous portions. A wide variety of choices on the menu. If you leave hungry it's your fault. We will go back every time we are in town. (pic of takeout chicken parmigiana HUGE!)

Great service, food was all good - desserts looked very dangerous to the waistline!!

Our server, Crystal, was very patient with my mother's instructions for her order and everything came out perfect. Our meals were spectacular! Portions filled the plate and tasted great!

The lady was absolutely amazing that took my order. It was very convenient next-door to the hotel. My Reuben sandwich was absolutely excellent. But extremely disappointed in the steak and the baked potato it was extremely tough and not edible. The potato was not cooked all the way I’m sure it would’ve been good if the steak was properly tenderized or properly grilled and the potato was cooked all the way, but the wonderful sweet lady that took my order. I believe she was possibly from Brazil or somewhere she was amazing and very sweet, but they do have a lot of other options and amazing breakfast.
